Join us for the 2nd Annual Maama Watali Signature Gala: A Place to Call Home, an inspiring evening dedicated to hope, community, and lasting impact. Enjoy keynote speeches, networking, live entertainment, raffle draws, and a silent auction, all in support of Maama Watali’s $25 million Transitional Housing Initiative.

Our goal is to raise $150,000 to help provide safe, supportive housing for survivors of gender-based violence and their families.

Maama Watali’s mission is to help Black and racialized women in Ottawa live free from partner violence. Our first residential project, Maama Watali House, will offer survivors and their families a safe place to land with transitional housing for up to 18 months, along with counselling, employment services, child care, and community support.

Together, we can build not just houses, but homes and change lives.
