Maama Watali Cordially Invites You to our Home for the Holidays Fundraising Gala.

Proceeds from this inaugural gala will support the development of Maama Watali House, which will provide affordable housing and essential resources for Black and racialized women in Ottawa affected by gender-based violence.

The evening will feature a keynote address, a gourmet dinner, live entertainment, and networking opportunities. It will be a time filled with meaningful dialogue, inspiring stories, spoken word tributes and a shared commitment to drive innovative change.

Maama Watali House is an initiative that will renovate and retrofit a section of Fourth Avenue Baptist Church in the Glebe into 14 transitional housing units for women and children as they rebuild their lives after all forms of gender based violence.

Your presence would greatly enrich the evening as we bring together Ottawa’s distinguished leaders from government, business, and the community to champion this initiative.
